You tell us what you’re looking for and what you’re like. We find a professional with similar passions and personality doing a job you’re curious about. Then you chat. Simple.
Not Impossible’s 5 simple steps
Finding a match that makes sense
You’ll start by answering 2 quick sets of questions:
The first is about your preferences which helps you discover the employers doing work you are curious about
The second is a 10 minute personality quiz, which helps us match you with hosts who are similar to you, who you’ll enjoy speaking to and who are probably doing jobs you’d thrive in.
Getting prepared and ready
To make sure you have everything you need to feel confident about your placement, we’ll invite you to join a 15-minute one-to-one call with us.
You’ll be able to choose 3 potential hosts from your matched employers, get support to create a structure for your microplacement, and ask us any questions you might have.
Your first microplacement
Every Not Impossible relationship starts with a one to one one-hour online microplacement.
This is your opportunity to ask your host the questions you’ve prepared, do interview practice, get feedback on your CV and advice what you need to do next.
What’s next?
After your session you’ll have a chance for you to tell us whether you’d like to meet your host in person, do more microplacements, and anything you’d like to do differently.
Then it’s up to you. There’s no need to commit but, if you’d like to, you could:
Do more microplacements with different hosts or employers
Meet your host at an in-person microplacement if possible
Learn about job opportunities with relevant employers
Show employers what you’ve got
Completing microplacements demonstrates that you have initiative, professionalism and curiosity. Document your efforts with our verified credit system, which you can include as evidence in your CV.
1 placement = Bronze Award
2 placements = Silver Award
3 placements (including 1 in-person) = Gold Award
