Every Not Impossible relationship starts with a virtual, one-hour, one-to-one conversation with a real professional doing work you are curious about.

Microplacements offer many of the benefits of traditional work experience placements — only more quickly. And they’re a great way to test the water with someone you might want to do a longer placement with later.

Frequently Asked Questions

You choose the employers you are most curious about. We smart-match you with real people who work there based on a short questionnaire, which allows us to understand your natural skills, characteristics and personality. This takes around 10 minutes to complete and you only have to do it once.
There’s no pressure to do more than one but if you’d like to then we think this is the best way to find work that matters to you. In fact, our goal is to get you three and you’ll get awards for each — bronze for one completion, silver for two, and gold for three (including an in-person) - perfect for building your CV.
Yes, if you are interested after you’ve done your initial microplacement, you can ask us to request a second longer or in-person placement. Not all hosts offer this, but we’ll do our best to facilitate if that’s what you’d like.
Not Impossible is for young people aged 16-25 based near Bristol or Bath. You’ll need to have the right to work in the UK and be state-educated or home-schooled. We always prioritise those from low opportunity postcodes to make access to work experience fairer. We’ll guide you through this as you sign up.
